Our Story
The Lebanon Community Food Pantry was founded in 2024 with a simple goal: to help meet the needs of families in our community by providing reliable access to food. What began as a local effort to care for neighbors has grown into a place where individuals and families can receive support, encouragement, and practical help during difficult seasons.
The pantry was created with the belief that no one in our community should have to face food insecurity alone. Through the generosity of volunteers, churches, donors, and community partners, the pantry has been able to serve Russell County and surrounding areas while treating every person who comes through the doors with dignity and compassion.
In 2026, new directors stepped in to continue and strengthen the mission of the Lebanon Community Food Pantry. With a heart for service and a commitment to the community, the leadership team is focused on building on the foundation that was started in 2024 while expanding the pantry’s ability to serve those in need.
Today, the Lebanon Community Food Pantry continues to operate through the dedication of volunteers and supporters who believe that when a community comes together, needs can be met and hope can grow.
Rooted in the Soil of Our Community
Lebanon Community Food Pantry’s work is rooted in a heart for service and the belief that we are called to care for our neighbors. Through the support of volunteers, donors, and our community, we are able to make a difference.
Pantry Hours
The Lebanon Community Food Pantry is open Thursdays from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Our pantry operates on a monthly schedule, and each client is assigned a designated Thursday during the month to receive food assistance. Clients should plan to visit during their assigned week.
If you are unable to attend on your designated Thursday, you are welcome to come later in the month during another open Thursday. However, early visits before your assigned week are not permitted so we can ensure food is available for everyone scheduled.
The pantry is open four Thursdays each month. When a month includes a fifth Thursday, the pantry will be closed that week.
We appreciate your understanding as this schedule helps us serve our community fairly and efficiently.
